Fading Traces of Humanity..

FADING TRACES OF HUMANITY..

Major instances of brutality and inhumane attitude of some pupils, in order to have their religion stand out as the superior one, and to eradicate a certain race of people or to have the supreme control over a territory, might have got buried under the sands of deceptive humanity that prevails in this era, but are still influential in the lives of those who have suffered, who have been the victims of such brutality. And it’s not just that these barbaric events have had a place in history, even today, at many corners of the world, such inhumane attributes exist in our society and keep on contaminating the very bit of it, just with a conclusion being drawn out, that majority of the people of this world have been a victim of such behavior by their fellow humans. This brutality isn’t just linked to some genocide or some massacres taking place, but can be linked to the common abuse that a person might suffer from, a verbal, physical or psychological abuse. These instances seem to get deep-rooted within our souls and are hard to forget. What Hitler did to the Jews and what the Ottoman Turks did to the native Armenians, are most likely, sufficient examples to describe what this inhumane attitude can be like. These instances can just show, that to what extent can there be cruelty and hatred, filled up in the hearts of a human, for his fellow human being, to what extent can a human cause atrocities and misery in the life of his fellow being, and to what extent can a human transform the normal, peaceful life of his fellows into a completely harsh and insuperable nightmare. This is, of course, the darker and unfortunately the true face of mankind, the hard-to-believe truth of humanity.

How would have a girl(Anne Frank)of 14, felt, to stay away from her friends, away from her home, secretly, just because, some leaders have made an effort to establish their supreme control over their country, and with their best possible efforts, have tried to eradicate the so-called 'Jews', for the very reason that they didn't possess a certain kind of physical attributes, as was expected to be in a race of people, who were allowed to survive in Germany? What is happening presently in Afghanistan is actually this same kind of brutality, something that relates to the adverse phases of life, full of misery, wherein people are forced to leave their native place, forced to take refuge in some other countries, many being killed, seriously injured, and all this happening, just because a certain group of people wish to establish their supremacy and control over the country, overthrowing the democracy and declaring their supreme control and rule over the territory. And this is, as already mentioned, not the first time when this kind of harshness and cruelty is entering into the hearts of people, it has happened many times in  different corners of the world in some way or the other. And this is something, which is required to be stopped. Religions have been brought into existence so that the people can tread on different paths, follow different routes, have varied practices and teachings, but the destination of all being one, achieving peace and harmony in the world, to preach, propagate the concept of humanity. Distinctions have not come into existence, so that they tend to become a reason for conflicts and disputes in the society, but for the purpose that each person gets a chance to follow the religion, practice the preaching of whichever religion he chooses to and is not forced to perform in a way he isn’t willing to. The life of humans is too short to waste in engaging ourselves in such harsh and tyrannical practices, the end product of which are always mass bloodsheds, massacres, miseries, hopelessness and disbelief in the attribute of humanity. Hearing and watching something about such barbaric events is really depressing and accepting this true, but the darker face of humanity is a very challenging and painful task. Yet it needs to be given a thought and discussed upon. People often tend to avoid having discussion on such incidents because of them being quite gloomy and disheartening ones. But we need to think about this fading humanity in our hearts and revive the spirit of humanity and compassion within our souls, so that we can bring up feelings in the hearts of those who have till now just fought for the superiority of their religions and eradication of other ones, so that we can generate some love and benevolence in the hearts of those who have ever been engaged in such kind of incidents and are still stuck behind the bars of callousness. Let’s make an effort to arouse some tolerance and some bit of sensitivity in the hearts and minds of these people towards their fellow beings.

PS: Well, just forgot to mention that this is the first time I have tried to write something that relates to world peace and humanity. The inspiration to write this blog came up when there was a discussion in my English Class, regarding the genocide performed by Ottoman Turks in Armenia, related to some Chapter of ours:)
